Our services include:
SPRING SERVICES
Give your landscape a healthy start to the years growing season by ensuring a careful and complete spring cleanup. We will remove all leaves, branches, and accumulated debris from the garden beds, untie and unwrap all winterized trees and shrubs, and prepare your garden for the upcoming season.
SUMMER SERVICES
Once the warmer season takes off and your garden really starts to grow, regular maintenance will become a necessity. We offer biweekly, monthly, or seasonal visits to tend to all your garden needs. During these visits we will give your garden the proper care needed; deadhead any spent flowers, pull out weeds, trim and shape shrubs and hedges, cultivate and edge the flowerbeds, and check the gardens for any signs of insects or diseases.
FALL SERVICES
Make sure your gardens are prepared for the winter by giving you property the thorough fall cleanup it deserves. This will help your plants withstand our cold Canadian winters and promote good growth for the upcoming year. We will clean leaves and debris from your flowerbeds, cut back perennials, remove annuals, cultivate beds, supply and install spring bulbs, divide and replant perennials, and do a general clean up to prepare your garden for winter. This service begins the first week of October and ends in mid-November.
WINTER PROTECTION
Some delicate shrubs and evergreens require winter protection from the harsh winter snow and winds. We will install burlap, mesh, white winter blanket and twine to protect your plants during the upcoming season. Installation of wooden “A” frames over shrubs to protect them from snow and ice damage and Installing “T” posts along the driveways and walkways, for protection of the lawns and garden beds from damage done by snow removal, is also available.
PRUNING
Professional shrub pruning is truly an art. It requires a vast amount of experience to prune a shrub according to the plants aesthetics and physiological needs. Pruning of shrubs is not only for aesthetic purposes, but it also promotes healthy growth and more dense foliage. Our services include pruning and shaping of trees and shrubs under 18 feet tall, cedar hedge trimming, and rejuvenation of shrubs.
PLANTING
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “The Earth laughs in flowers”.
We start by selecting the best location, putting down quality soil, adding release fertilizers, and providing regular maintenance. We supply annuals, perennials bulbs, roses, shrubs, and trees. Make your home or garden a special place by planting!
CONTAINER GARDENING
Gardening is no longer only for homeowners with large yards. Almost anything can be grown in a container (annuals, perennials, vegetables). We offer container gardening services for high-rise apartments, condominiums, roof top gardens and small backyards. Containers are available for spring, summer, fall, and winter.
MULCHING
Mulching is the act of placing a protective barrier of mulch around your plants and over existing soil. This is one of the best things you can do for your garden as it has many benefits. Mulch reduces evaporation and holds in soil moisture which protects plants from drying out quickly, inhibits weed germination and growth, keeps plant roots colder in hot summer areas, and prevents soil from splashing onto foundation of house.
